My Ansible story

Filip Rysavy: Picture with a forrest background Filip Rysavy: Working in Vienna

Hi, I'm Fil (Filip Rysavy),
the founder of Foxyra.

I have learned Ansible on my own,
so I can imagine how it might feel for you now
starting from scratch.

I'm a self-taught IT professional

  • My first IT job was at a bank’s IT Helpdesk (IT Support).
  • Later I have worked as a manual Software Tester.
  • Then I continued automating tests as a Test Automation Engineer
for several large enterprises, a mid-size company and a startup.
  • From test automation I have progressed to DevOps
(using Ansible extensively on a daily basis).

My experience with Ansible

  • First, I have used Ansible
    when building test automation infrastructure
for a national mobile network provider.
  • We have automated our test automation servers,
    and also our developers' desktops
    with fully configured IDE, etc.
  • Then I was working as Software Engineer (Test Automation)
for a web3/crypto startup building decentralized
    storage, hosting and app platform.
  • And later, for this startup,
I started to automate our infrastructure using Ansible,
beginning with configurations of our decentralized webportal stack,
    through automated deployments,
up to complete production clusters setups.
  • We have made our Ansible playbooks public,
so that our community members could use them freely
and they could spin up their own decentralized portals.
